ibikeu Wiki: C.R.A.N.K. MOB article

Once upon a time I headed up this project to create a wiki of all things bike.  Do y’all remember that?  It was insanely ambitious, and when it became a tough project, I eventually folded up and stopped working. So what’s been going on with the ibikeu Wiki?  Well, not too much.  Not too many [...]

ibikeu Wiki Update: Who are the Sodomites? Can they over power the Crimanimalz?

The second Freeway Traffic Jam Ride took place last Friday, and the Crimanimalz used the wiki as the reference for people interested in the history of the ride. The ride hit the front page of Digg, LAist, Boink Boink, Wired, local TV stations etc etc . . . and consequently the Freeway Traffic Jam article [...]

Last week we unveiled the ibikeu Wiki, a wiki for all things bike, and then I spent the next three days refreshing the stats counter. The first week was a great success. During the two months when the wiki was private there were only 2176 pageviews, 616 edits, and 46 pages of content. This week [...]

Bikes + Wikipedia = the ibikeu Wiki!

Friday I wrote about what I think is a gap in the cycling communities knowledge sharing. Here’s a partial solution – the ibikeu Wiki! The ibikeu Wiki is intended to document everything bike, from social rides like Santa Monica Critical Mass, to broad topics like the history of bicycles or bicycle infrastructure terminology. For the [...]
