ibikeu Wiki Update: AWESOME!

By Alex Thompson

The second week of ibikeu Wiki’s launch was great. Views continued to rise, and editing continued to increase. ibikeu is getting indexed higher by Google on a daily basis so, even though we have yet to seriously promote the wiki, ibikeu received significant international traffic from desirable vacation locales such as Argentina, Ireland, and Taiwan.

This is all thanks to a vibrant group of editors who are probably in trouble at work for spending too much time working on the wiki. The Los Angelopes crew has continued to work on freak bike related articles. Articles on other aspects of Los Angeles have really started to improve in the last week. We even added a couple of editors from outside LA.

By far the most viewed article this week was the article about the recent Freeway Ride on the 10 and 405. You may have heard about this – about eighteen Westsiders rode a stretch of the 10 freeway, and then went back and rode from the 10 East to the 405 North. The interesting thing about this ride, from the ibikeu perspective, is that there’s really no place to find a comprehensive summary of how the ride came about, and where it went. Except for the wiki. Hopefully the wiki will keep filling gaps like that.

Anyhow, here’s some other articles worth checking out. None of them are complete, but maybe they can give an idea of what the wiki might eventually be:

And as always -Make It Happen!
