Bikerowave seeks a new location
Bikerowave, West LA’s not-for-profit community bike shop, is looking for a new location:
Bikerowave is looking for a new location. We seek 800+ sq. ft, with high ceilings, and potentially a store front. Bikerowave is based in West LA, so locations West of the 405 and North of Washington Blvd are ideal. Unfinished industrial space, and odd spaces are welcome. Our present rent is $1350 per month, and we probably be unable to pay more than $2000 per month. If you have resources or leads, please email locationhunt@bikerowave.org.
Bikerowave has revolutionized the West LA bike culture. Having them in your neigborhood is a virtual gurantee that if will become more bike friendly and more F!U!N! Please help out however you can, whether by discovering new places in your neighborhood, or by sharing this article with your friends, or by emailing locationhunt@bikerowave.org.

There are several storefronts along Venice Boulevard, just east of Centinela, that are open. I’ll see if they’ve got phone numbers listed for rental information.
LA Brakeless is right there — they might feel like BRW is moving in on their territory. But the more people know about bikes, the more they’ll know about quality bike parts, the more they’ll want to come in to LAB, the more they’ll drool over the better parts they carry in the store …. Kaboom.
I’m pretty sure LA Brakeless would be cool w/ us moving nearby. It’s paramount that BRW moves to an area that has 1) good food and 2) a bike shop that sells new parts.
It’d also be nice to have a storefront with big windows and lots of natural light…
There are also a fair number of vacant storefronts along Wilshire and SM Blvd from around Centinela heading westwards for a few blocks, and some vacant will-divide industrial/creative spaces really close to where BRW is now.
I’d imagine there’s more space for the money southwards tho.
